For Kyle Manraj, dance was not the answer to every child’s “when I grow up I want to be…” dream. It was not until his preteens when the advent of dance in popular media, like So You Think You Can Dance, exposed Kyle to the art form and led him to enroll in his first hip-hop class.
Originally seeing dance as a fun and athletic recreational activity, Kyle noticed his knack for performing and the rush he experienced when on stage. Kyle then successfully auditioned for a performing arts high school in Toronto, Canada and studied dance forms such as ballet, jazz, modern, Afro-Cuban and hip-hop. Inspired by his experiences within the program as well as with his influential dance teacher.
Kyle now attends York University’s Bachelor of Fine Arts and Concurrent Education programs with the ambition of becoming a dance educator. Kyle is also a performer in X Limit Entertainment and sees the opportunity as a means of unifying many dance styles to develop and promote the art form.
